Baptism is the way that the early Christians demonstrated they were dedicating their lives to Christ. We can show this same confirmation today. Those who want to put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ are welcome to be baptized. Since one can become a Christian at any time in life, we baptize people of all ages from the youngest to the oldest.
We are very happy to assist with this and would be thrilled to host your wedding here. Please contact the vicar to discuss further.
If you live in this parish, but are getting married in another Church of England Church, you will need to contact the churchwardens (preferably by email) to arrange the reading of your Banns at St. Francis.
We count it a privilege to assist with the service and offer support at this time of need. Please contact the vicar and let your funeral director know you would like the churchwardens to lead the service. At St. Francis we continue to offer support throughout the bereavement process.
Memorial Garden & Book of Remembrance
In the Church grounds there is a small garden where surrounded by flower borders there is a place where we can lay to rest our loved one’s cremated remains. It is a place where we can remember our loved ones at the heart of a living Christian Community on the Heartsease Estate. The garden is tended by a team of volunteers who seek to preserve it as a place of beauty to be enjoyed by all.
In a side Chapel in the Church can be found the Book of Remembrance. Here we can enter the names of our loved ones and come and view them on their anniversary.
